gas nitriding
Gas nitration is a thermochemical hardening process suitable for steel details requiring low friction, increased wear resistance and increased fatigue strength. Gastnitration is performed at 500-530 ° C. Extremely small dimensional and shape changes occur at the low temperature.
This process is not suitable for high alloy steel, such as stainless steel and tool steel.
Gas nitration occurs mainly on crankshaft and camshafts, valve parts, gear wheels, plastic molds, etc.
